Description

There is something quietly theatrical about a ring that carries colour the way a painting does. The Monalisa stone studded ring is built on a brass base, its broad face set with faceted glass stones in the manner of costume jewellery traditions that have long shadowed India's finer Kundan and Meenakari schools. Where those courts relied on gold foil and natural gems, this piece draws from the same visual grammar: a central stone surrounded by a constellation of smaller ones, each colour variant telling its own story. The red reads like a Rajasthani lac bangle translated into metal and glass; the blue carries the cool depth of Bikaner's enamel skies; the green suggests the jade tones beloved in Bengali adornment. The brass setting has a warm, burnished undertone that flatters all three. The ring stands 0.85 inches (approximately 2.2 cm) tall and weighs a considered 11.7 grams, giving it a satisfying presence on the hand without bulk. Wear the red version with a deep burgundy silk kurta at a festival lunch, or the blue alongside ivory chanderi for a winter wedding reception. The green pairs particularly well with a moss or mustard handloom sari on an afternoon occasion. Available in sizes 6.5 and 7, the ring suits most adult fingers. The brass construction makes it resilient for regular wear; keep it away from moisture and perfume to preserve its finish over time.
