Description

There are symbols that have held meaning across centuries, and the chakra is among the most enduring of them all. The wheel of the chakra, in its eight-spoked form, has long been a motif in Indian sacred and courtly ornament, appearing in temple friezes, royal pendants and devotional jewellery alike. Here it is rendered in sterling silver, its spokes radiating outward with geometric precision, the whole composition set with moissanite stones whose refractive brilliance catches even the dimmest light. Moissanite, chosen for its diamond-like clarity and ethical provenance, brings a contemporary luminosity to what is otherwise a deeply traditional motif. The silver is finished to a high polish, allowing the metal's cool, neutral tone to frame each stone without competing with it. At 1.5 inches height by 0.8 inches width (approximately 3.8 cm by 2 cm), the brooch sits with quiet authority on the chest, its 11 grammes of sterling silver lending a pleasing, substantial weight without pulling at fabric. Wear this brooch at the centre of a cream or ivory silk kurta for a festive lunch, letting the moissanite catch afternoon light. It is equally at home pinned to the lapel of a structured linen blazer for a cultural evening or gallery opening. The brooch closes with a standard pin clasp, secure enough for daily wear. Free size by nature, it needs no fitting. Sterling silver's durability makes it a piece one returns to repeatedly, season after season, without ceremony.
