Description

She is the first and the most fearsome of the ten Mahavidyas, and this pendant holds her with steady, reverent hands. Cast in .999 fineness pure silver, the roundel measures 1.3 inches (approximately 3.3 cm) in diameter and weighs a substantial 11 grams, giving it the satisfying presence that devotional silver demands. The obverse carries Kali in her full iconographic truth: dark, unbound, garlanded in the symbols of her power. Turn the pendant and the reverse reveals her Yantra, the geometric map of her consciousness rendered in precise line work, triangles and bindu held within a circle. This double-sided format belongs to a long tradition of tantric amulets in which the deity and her sacred diagram are understood as inseparable, the form and the force unified in a single object. The silver's high purity lends the surface a luminous, moon-pale tone that reads as both archaic and deeply alive. Wear it on a long oxidised silver chain over a deep indigo or black silk kurta for Navratri puja; or layer it close to the throat on a fine box chain against a plain cotton handloom for a quieter, daily devotional intention. The pendant comes in free size, sized to hang comfortably at the centre of the chest without overwhelming finer necklines. Pure silver at this fineness develops a gentle patina over time; a soft cloth restore its original brightness without effort, making this a piece suited to daily wear and lifelong keeping.
