Description

She is the goddess who transcends the self, and this pendant holds her geometry with quiet ferocity. Cast in sterling silver, the pendant centres on the Chinnamasta Yantra, one of the ten Mahavidya diagrams, rendered as an engraved geometric medallion of interlocking triangles, lotus petals and sacred circles that radiate outward from a still point. Chinnamasta, the self-decapitating goddess of awakened energy, is among the most esoteric of the Dus Mahavidyas, and her yantra has long been worn as a meditational talisman rather than mere ornament. The silver is worked to a clean, matte-edged finish that keeps the engraved lines legible and sharp. Measuring approximately 4 centimetres in height and 3.3 centimetres in width, and weighing a substantial 10 grams, the piece carries genuine presence on the chest. The tradition of silver yantra jewellery is rooted in tantric craft lineages across Rajasthan and Bengal, where silversmiths have long translated sacred diagrams into wearable devotional objects. Wear it against a raw silk kurta in ivory or indigo for a considered, contemplative look; or pair it with a structured linen blouse and fine chain at a gathering where jewellery is meant to carry meaning rather than simply catch light. The free-size pendant suits most chain lengths, from a close-fitting 18-inch silver chain to a longer 24-inch rope, and the 10-gram weight rests comfortably through extended wear without pulling or tilting.
