Description

He who carries the vel rides eternal , and now, that sovereignty rests on your hand. Murugan, the warrior god of southern devotion, is rendered here in sterling silver with a weight and intentionality that belies its modest 5 grams. The face of Karttikeya, second son of Shiva, has been a touchstone of Tamil and Telugu sacred silversmithing for centuries, hammered and chased by hands trained in the traditions of Nagercoil and the temple towns of the deep south, where silver is treated not as ornament but as offering. Here, that reverence is compressed into a ring face standing 10.2 mm in height, the bezel carrying the deity's likeness in relief with the kind of quiet confidence that comes from a motif repeated across generations. The sterling silver body has a warm, burnished quality, neither aggressively bright nor matte, sitting comfortably between devotional object and wearable jewellery. Wear it to a Skanda Shashthi puja or a Panguni Uthiram celebration, paired with a silk Kanjeevaram and traditional temple jewellery for complete coherence. It reads equally well against the cuff of a crisp white kurta at a family gathering where understated faith is its own kind of elegance. Available in size 6.5, the ring is well suited to the index or middle finger. At 5 grams, it sits with gentle authority throughout a long day, comfortable for daily wear and devotion alike, requiring only occasional polishing to maintain its silver clarity.
