Description

There are prayers that travel not in words, but in stone. Carved by hand into a single piece of deep-night lapis lazuli, the profile of Lord Hanuman emerges here with an intimacy that mass-produced castings cannot replicate. The stone itself earns its place: lapis lazuli, prized across ancient trade routes from Afghanistan to Rajasthan, carries its characteristic indigo depth shot through with quieter veins of gold pyrite and cloud-white calcite. The carver has worked the profile in side-face relief, capturing the devotional energy of the Veer Hanuman tradition without reducing it to ornament. A sterling silver setting frames the carved face, its oxidised finish allowing the blue of the stone to hold the eye entirely. At 1.1 inches in height and 0.9 inches in width (approximately 2.8 cm by 2.3 cm), and weighing 8 grams, the pendant sits close and meaningful against the chest. Worn on a fine sterling chain over a white cotton kurta, it speaks of daily devotion worn lightly. Equally, paired with ivory silk at a Hanuman Jayanti celebration or a Diwali gathering, it carries the gravitas of an heirloom chosen with deliberate faith. The pendant arrives ready to wear at a free size, its bail accommodating chains of most standard widths. Sterling silver, properly cared for with a soft cloth, keeps its finish. For those who wear their reverence, this is a piece that earns its place.
