Description

Devotion, it turns out, has a weight: ten grams of sterling silver, shaped into the form of the great Vanarasena's lord. Hanuman stands at the centre of this pendant in a posture that feels neither frozen nor theatrical, but present. The silhouette measures 1.7 inches (approximately 4.3 cm) tall and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) wide, a scale that commands attention without overwhelming the neckline. Set into the sterling silver frame are faceted gemstones in four distinct voices: the warm amber of citrine, the cool leafy green of peridot, the deep blood-red of garnet, and the violet-blue depth of iolite. Each stone is individually set, catching light at its own angle, so the pendant shifts character as it moves. The tradition of devotional silver jewellery runs deep across South India, particularly in temple towns where the karigar's hand has long translated scripture into wearable form. Here, that same seriousness of purpose governs every line. Pair it with an ivory or deep-red silk kurta for Hanuman Jayanti, Diwali, or any Tuesday puja visit. It reads equally well at the neckline of a cotton handloom saree when the occasion calls for quiet reverence rather than ceremony. The pendant is offered in free size, as it arrives ready on a standard bail. Sterling silver at this weight sits comfortably close to the body, resists bending with daily wear, and responds well to a soft polishing cloth when its brightness needs refreshing.
