Description

There are moments when devotion becomes something you can hold in your palm. This pendant captures the most celebrated image in the Vaishnava and Shaiva canon alike: Hanuman mid-flight, the entire Dronagiri mountain raised aloft in one hand, his form charged with urgency and grace. Cast in sterling silver and finished by hand, the piece measures one inch in height by 0.6 inch in width (approximately 2.5 cm by 1.5 cm) and weighs a precise 3.6 grams, light enough to forget you are wearing it yet substantial enough to catch the light with conviction. The relief work follows a tradition of devotional silver craft long practised across Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu, where silversmiths render mythological narrative in compressed, muscular form. Two finishes are offered: a bright Polish that reads almost like white gold against the skin, and a Vintage patina that settles into the recesses of the carving, deepening every fold of cloth and every sinew of the figure, as if the piece had been worn through generations. Wear the Polish finish on a fine silver chain with a cream silk kurta at a Hanuman Jayanti puja, or thread the Vintage finish onto a black waxed cord for daily wear against a cotton shirt. Free size in both finishes, this pendant suits a chain of any gauge. The sterling silver is gentle against the skin and resists tarnish with minimal care, making it a companion for the rituals of the everyday.
