Description

There are moments when devotion becomes ornament, and ornament becomes devotion. This pendant renders Ganesha as sovereign, not merely auspicious, seated in composed majesty upon a lion rather than his customary vahana, the mouse. The iconography is deliberately arresting: the remover of obstacles claimed as the lord of courage, his form worked in sterling silver through careful hand-finishing that preserves the weight and intention of the original casting. Two finishes are offered. The polish variant, measuring 1.1 inches in height by 0.75 inches in width (approximately 2.8 cm by 1.9 cm), delivers a bright, mirror-like surface that catches light cleanly. The vintage finish of the same dimension lends the relief its full drama, darkening the recesses so that every carved detail of the lion's mane and Ganesha's crown reads with quiet authority. The pendant weighs 7.85 grams, substantial enough to sit with presence without pulling at the chain. Worn on a fine sterling silver rope chain, it suits a silk kurta at a puja gathering as naturally as it accompanies a linen shirt at a considered, everyday occasion. For the diaspora wearer, it carries the particular gravity of something worn with meaning, not merely with style. The pendant is offered in free size, suited to any neck. Its compact width and smooth-finished bail make it compatible with most chain gauges. Both finishes are equally suited to daily wear and long-term keeping.
