Description

There are gods who guard the threshold, and there are gods who are the threshold. Lord Bhairava, the fierce, time-dissolving form of Shiva, has been venerated in silver across the temples of Varanasi, the shrines of Rajasthan and the folk-metal traditions of Bengal for centuries. This pendant renders his visage in sterling silver, a metal whose cool, oxidised grey is the natural companion to devotional iconography. The face is worked in relief, allowing the characteristic features of Bhairava, the wide eyes, the crown, the commanding expression of divine authority, to emerge with quiet clarity against the silver ground. At 1.25 inches in height (approximately 3.2 cm) and a considered weight of 4 grams, the pendant is substantial enough to read as a statement yet restrained enough to wear daily. The sterling construction ensures durability and the honest, unhallowed warmth that only solid silver carries. Thread it on a black waxed cord for a puja morning or a contemplative weekend; alternatively, suspend it from a fine sterling chain beneath a collarless white kurta for understated spiritual elegance at a cultural gathering or a temple visit. A free-size piece by design, the pendant accommodates any chain or cord the wearer chooses. The finish holds well against daily wear; a soft cloth restores its surface when needed. At 4 grams, it sits close to the chest without pulling and travels as readily as devotion itself.
