Description

There are stones that do not merely catch the light; they hold entire skies inside them. This sterling silver ring is built around a labradorite cabochon of considerable presence, its surface shifting between storm-grey, deep teal and spectral flashes of copper and violet depending on how the light falls. The setting is generous and architectural, likely crafted by artisans working in the tradition of oxidised silver jewellery that flourishes across Rajasthan and the hill workshops of the north, where silver is treated as a living material rather than a neutral carrier. The band is substantial, the bezel raised and close-set to protect the stone's domed surface. Sterling silver at this weight, ten grams, acquires a pleasing heft on the finger, and the oxidised or matte finish that typically accompanies work of this character gives it an antiqued, almost archaeological quality. The ring stands twenty-eight millimetres tall, making it a genuine statement piece rather than a quiet accent. Wear it with a fine Chanderi kurta in dusty rose or slate, where the stone's shifting palette will feel entirely at home. It works equally well beside a linen sari blouse for a curated, contemporary festive look. The twenty-eight millimetre height suits fingers with medium to generous proportions. Sterling silver is durable for daily wear, though removing it before water exposure will preserve the finish longest. The ring arrives weighing exactly ten grams, giving it a confidence on the hand that lighter fashion pieces rarely achieve.
