Description

There are stones that do not merely catch the light; they hold entire skies inside them. Labradorite is one of them, and this sterling silver ring was made for exactly that quality. The stone shifts between slate and steel, between deep Atlantic grey and sudden flashes of peacock blue and gold, depending on how the light falls. Set into a clean silver bezel that lets the cabochon speak without interruption, the ring sits at a profile height of 6 mm, low enough to move with the hand rather than against it. The band is rendered in sterling silver, a material long favoured by Rajasthani craftsmen for its cool, matte readiness to hold unusual stones, and finished to a quiet lustre that complements labradorite's inner fire rather than competing with it. At 2 g, it carries almost no weight on the finger. Wear it with a handwoven cotton kurta in indigo or slate for a considered daytime appearance, or pair it with a raw silk blouse at an evening gathering where you want one quiet, irreversible detail to carry the whole. The bezel setting protects the stone from daily knocks while allowing its full face to remain visible. Sterling silver requires only an occasional gentle polish to maintain its lustre. At 6 mm in height, the profile remains practical for writing, cooking and everything the day asks of a hand that still wants to be beautiful.
