Description

There are rings, and then there are rings that remember something older than fashion. Kundan is among the most revered of India's jewellery traditions, refined over centuries in the ateliers of Jaipur and the royal courts that sustained them. In this piece, flat-set stones are pressed into a brass base using the classic Kundan technique: each gem held not by a prong but by fine layers of 24-karat gold foil worked carefully into the setting by hand, locking the stone flush against the surface. The brass body, weighing a confident 10 grams, carries the warmth of the metal well, giving the finished ring a solidity that belies its price. Available in Black and Multi colourways, the multi variant likely plays with the jewel-box layering that defines traditional Kundan compositions, mixing cool and warm-toned stones in a single field of colour. Wear the Multi colourway with a silk chanderi kurta and pearl drop earrings for a festive evening that does not try too hard. The Black variant sits beautifully against an embroidered anarkali at a mehendi or sangeet, where restraint is its own kind of elegance. At 10 grams, the ring sits with presence on the finger without feeling heavy through a long evening. The brass base is durable and holds its form through regular wear. The Kundan setting is best kept away from water and perfume to preserve the integrity of the foil work and stone adhesion over time.
