Description

There are rings, and then there are rings that remember. Kundan is among the oldest inlay traditions in the subcontract, refined over centuries in the ateliers of Jaipur and brought to its most opulent expression by craftsmen who press 24-karat gold foil between polished gemstones and a metal base with nothing but a wooden tool and an inherited steadiness of hand. This piece honours that lineage in brass, a metal with its own warm, burnished dignity, finished to carry the flat-set Kundan stones with the same visual authority as a more precious base would. The stones sit flush within raised bezels, held not by prongs but by the foil-and-lac method that gives Kundan its characteristic seamless, almost painted, luminosity. The ring weighs a substantial 17 grams, a presence you will feel on the finger. Wear it with a silk chanderi dupatta at a mehendi or a Diwali gathering, where its gilded warmth reads across a room. It pairs equally well with contemporary pret separates in ivory or rust, where it functions as the single considered gesture that lifts the whole look. The brass base keeps the ring light on the wallet at Rs 4,494.92 while adding everyday durability. Store away from moisture and direct perfume to preserve the Kundan setting and the surface finish. A soft, dry cloth is all the care it ever asks for.
