Description

There are rings made for utility, and then there are rings made for memory. This Kundan ring from our JA1898 collection belongs firmly to the second kind. Kundan, the ancient art of setting uncut glass or stones into a gold foil bed, finds an unexpected and democratic expression here in brass, the metal that has long served the ateliers of Jaipur's lesser-sung karigars who bring the same fastidious hand to affordable work as to precious commissions. The central setting holds its stones flush within a raised bezel, the foil-backed Kundan elements catching light with the same quiet conviction as their more opulent cousins. Brass, lacquered or burnished to a warm gold tone, carries the weight of this tradition without apology. At 26 grams, the ring sits with confident presence on the finger, the kind of settled weight that reminds you it is there. Wear it against a silk kurta in ivory or deep indigo for a festive mehendi or sangeet, where its glint will read as intentional, not incidental. It pairs equally well with a plain cotton kurta for day wear, elevating the ordinary without overwhelming it. The ring weighs 26 grams and is crafted in brass finished to a warm gold tone, making it resistant to the casual demands of daily wear. Sizing is available as pictured; we recommend consulting our size guide before ordering to ensure a comfortable, secure fit.
