Description

There is a particular sound that old Rajasthani bazaars carry, a soft, layered chime of ghungroo bells caught in a dry afternoon wind. This ring answers that memory. Set in warm brass and worked in the Kundan tradition, the face is built around a central green stone framed by the characteristic flat-foil setting that Jaipur's karigars have refined across centuries: glass or resin set flush against gold-coloured foil, held in place by fine burnished bezel work rather than prong or claw. The width of the face measures 1.05 inches (approximately 2.67 cm), giving it a confident, almost ceremonial presence on the finger. Below the setting, a row of small ghungroo beads drops in a gentle fringe, each bead catching light and movement with the same quiet animation you find in temple jewellery from Nagercoil or festive adornments from the courts of Bikaner. The ring weighs 15 grams, substantial enough to feel considered, and the adjustable shank means a single size accommodates most fingers without compromise. Wear this ring with a hand-block-printed chanderi kurta at a daytime mehendi, letting the green stone echo the henna. For evening, pair it against a silk brocade blouse or a Banarasi sari blouse, where the brass undertones deepen beside woven gold. The adjustable band opens and closes with care applied evenly from both sides. Brass polishes gently with a soft, dry cloth and benefits from storage away from moisture and perfume.
