Description

There are devotions that do not announce themselves; they settle, quietly, at the throat. The Kali Yantra is among the most potent geometric meditations in the Shakta tradition, a diagram that holds within its intersecting triangles the full force of the goddess: creation, dissolution and the space beyond both. Rendered here in sterling silver, the pendant measures approximately 2.5 cm in height and 2 cm in width, and weighs just 3 grams, light enough to forget you are wearing it and weighted enough that you never quite do. The silverwork follows a long tradition of sacred geometry in Indian craft, where the yantra's precise lines are treated with the same reverence as figurative iconography. The surface carries a finish that allows the geometric planes to catch light at different angles, giving the piece a quiet, contemplative depth rather than decorative brightness. Worn on a fine silver chain over a white chanderi kurta, it becomes a statement of inner conviction. At a contemporary art opening or an intimate puja gathering, it moves easily between the spiritual and the sartorial without compromise. At free size with a standard pendant fitting, this piece is designed to pair with any chain of your choosing, making it adaptable to everyday wear. Sterling silver at this weight requires minimal upkeep: a soft cloth and occasional airing is sufficient to maintain its clarity and lustre over time.
