Description

There are mountains in this pendant, and the slow patience of hands that have worked cold metal for generations. Measuring nearly twelve centimetres tall and six and a half centimetres wide (4.6 inches by 2.5 inches), this Tibetan-style pendant is cast in brass and finished with a layer of silver polish that catches light the way frost catches morning. The setting carries imitation turquoise, coral and lapis lazuli arranged in the dense, devotional geometry that defines high-plateau jewellery traditions: stones pressed close together within worked metal frames, colour held in place by careful bezelling. The palette is elemental, deep sky blue against brick red and celadon green, the whole composition reading less as ornament and more as talisman. At just over a hundred grams (100.8 g), the piece has real presence in the hand before it ever reaches the neck. Wear it over a simple ivory cotton kurta and the pendant does all the speaking. It sits equally well against the dark silk of a winter wrap or a loose linen shirt on a cooler evening, anchoring otherwise quiet dressing with cultural weight. The silver polish finish ages gently with wear, developing a softly antiqued character over time. The pendant is free-size by nature, fitting any chain or cord of your choosing, and the substantial weight ensures it hangs flat and steady rather than twisting. Store away from moisture and the finish will remain faithful for years.
