Description

Where the mace meets devotion, sterling silver becomes a shield. The Hanuman Gada brooch carries one of Sanatan tradition's most charged forms: the gada, the celestial mace of Pawanputra, rendered here in oxidised sterling silver with a surface that reads like aged temple metal. Inscribed with the invocation "Tum Rakshak Kahu Ko Darna," the piece fuses sacred text with sculptural intent, much in the spirit of the silver votive work long practised by artisans in Bikaner and Jaipur, where devotional imagery is pressed into jewellery with the same reverence given to temple commissions. The silhouette is compact and purposeful, measuring 1.5 inches in height by 0.85 inches in width (approximately 3.8 cm by 2.2 cm), and the piece weighs a solid 11.4 grams, substantial enough to feel meaningful on the hand. Pin this to the drape of an ivory or saffron silk saree at a morning puja, letting the oxidised silver speak against unadorned fabric. Alternatively, it anchors the lapel of a raw silk kurta or a linen bandhgala at a festival gathering, where understated devotion reads as considered personal style. Free-size by nature, the brooch fits any lapel, dupatta fold or stole with equal ease. The oxidised sterling silver resists tarnish better than plated alternatives, and the pin closure is secure enough for daily devotional wear without fuss.
