Description

Among the nine celestial sovereigns, Guru commands the widest reverence, and this pendant gives that reverence a visible, wearable form. Cast in copper and finished in a warm gold plate, the piece centres on a devotional portrait of Jupiter, the teacher-planet honoured across Vedic tradition as the graha of wisdom, abundance and grace. The obverse carries his iconographic form; turn the pendant and you find his Yantra, the sacred geometric diagram through which his planetary energy is invoked, engraved cleanly into the metal. This pairing of image and Yantra belongs to the ancient Navagraha tradition, observed devoutly from the temple towns of Tamil Nadu to the ritual jewellers of Varanasi and Rajasthan. The gold-plated copper construction gives the surface a rich, burnished warmth without the weight of solid metal, weighing just ten grams and measuring one inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in diameter. Wear it on a simple gold-toned chain against a cream silk kurta for a Thursday puja, when Guru's influence is traditionally honoured. It sits equally well at the neckline of a handloom cotton saree for a quiet ceremonial occasion. The free-size format means the pendant can be threaded onto any existing chain of your choosing, from a fine foxtail to a broader temple-style rope. The gold plate holds well against daily wear and the compact disc silhouette sits flat and centred, making it as practical for daily devotion as it is for considered personal adornment.
