Description

She arrives bearing abundance, framed in the devotional grammar of South Indian temple craft. Cast in a brass silver alloy that recalls the altar metalwork of Nagercoil and the votive panels of old Thanjavur workshops, this pendant renders Goddess Lakshmi in full frontal majesty: lotus-poised, symmetrical, and alive with detail. Kundan-set stones in the nine hues of the Navratna tradition ring her form, each colour calibrated to its celestial correspondence rather than mere decoration. The pendant measures 4.1 inches in height by 2.1 inches in width (approximately 10.4 cm by 5.3 cm) and carries a substantial weight of 64 grams, making its presence felt against the body. Bead drops fall from the lower register in the manner of traditional temple jewellery, echoing the kasu mala drops and pendant fringes that once adorned processional deities and Bharatanatyam dancers alike. Wear it over a silk Kanjeevaram or a deep-toned Banarasi for a festive puja gathering; it reads equally well layered over a contemporary linen kurta when you wish to carry something sacred into the everyday. The pendant suits high necklines and open-necked silhouettes in equal measure. The free-size pendant accommodates most chains and cords, and the brass silver alloy base is suited to occasional wear stored away from moisture. Wipe gently with a soft cloth to preserve the Kundan setting and the integrity of the bead drops over time.
