Description

She arrives bearing abundance on one face and sacred geometry on the other. Gajalakshmi, the lotus-enthroned goddess flanked by her ceremonial elephants, has been venerated in South Indian temple traditions for centuries, her iconography drawn from the Bhagavata Purana and rendered here in pure 999 silver. The obverse captures her in high relief, the elephants pouring waters of prosperity upon her, their trunks raised in reverence. Turn the pendant and the Kanakdhara Yantra appears, the geometric grid of the golden rain hymn attributed to Adi Shankaracharya, its concentric forms pressed with the precision of a craftsman schooled in devotional silverwork. No gilding, no stones, no distraction: only fine silver, polished to a quiet luminosity that honours the sanctity of the motif. At roughly 2.5 cm tall and 2.3 cm wide, and weighing six grammes, the piece sits with substance without imposing. Wear it on a plain silver chain against a silk Kanjeevaram for Diwali puja, or thread it on a black silk cord with a cotton kurta for everyday devotional ease. The two-sided design means the yantra can face inward, resting close to the skin as a private talisman. The pendant arrives in free size, suited to any chain gauge a wearer already owns. The 999 silver finish resists tarnish gracefully with minimal care, and the compact form makes it genuinely wearable from morning rituals through to evening gatherings.
