Description

There are prayers that are worn, not merely spoken. This pendant unites two of Shaivism's most enduring symbols: a certified Five Mukhi Rudraksha bead and a sterling silver relief of Lord Shiva. The Five Mukhi, governed by Kalagni Rudra, is among the most auspicious of all Rudraksha varieties, and its natural five-faced surface is set within a sterling silver housing that frames the bead with quiet reverence. The silver surround bears a hand-finished image of Shiva, rendered with the kind of devotional precision that recalls the votive jewellery traditions of South Indian temple towns such as Nagercoil, where sacred iconography and the silversmith's art have long been inseparable. Sterling silver is chosen here for its cool, matte weight and its compatibility with sacred wear. The pendant measures approximately 4.3 cm in height and 1.8 cm in width, and weighs a grounded 10 grams. Worn on a plain black cotton cord, it reads as meditative and considered, a natural companion to hand-woven Maheshwari or Mangalagiri cotton kurtas. On a fine silver chain, it transitions with ease to a simple salwar suit or even a linen shirt for the diaspora wearer who carries their faith without announcement. Free-sized and complete as shown, this piece requires no resizing or alteration. The sterling silver is finished to a gentle polish that will not overwhelm the natural texture of the Rudraksha, and its 10-gram weight sits comfortably at the chest through long days of wear.
