Description

There is a quiet authority in a ring that lets the stone do all the speaking. Cut from sterling silver and set with a single cabochon at its heart, this ring belongs to a lineage of understated silverwork that has long been practised across Rajasthan and the artisan quarters of Jaipur, where silver is treated not as a lesser metal but as the truest frame for a gemstone's colour. The bezel setting, rising ten millimetres from the finger, holds the stone flush and secure, its edges burnished smooth so the metal reads as a continuous band of light around the gem. Each of the four stones available tells a different story: the deep, opaque stillness of Black Onyx; the chatoyant warmth of Tiger Eye; the vivid, malachite-green that recalls Mughal inlay work; and the cool lustre of Pearl. The ring weighs just 2.3 grams, the silver kept deliberately spare so nothing competes with the cabochon above it. Wear it alone on the index finger with an ivory kurta and block-printed dupatta for a considered everyday ease. For evenings, stack it alongside a slender silver bangle and pair it with a silk chanderi blouse for something quietly complete. Available in sizes 5.5 through 9.5, the ring is finished to a high polish and rhodium-free, allowing the silver its natural tone. Its light weight makes it comfortable through long hours of wear without any sense of burden on the hand.
