Description

Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, rendered in warm golden citrine and set in sterling silver, to be worn close to the heart. Carved directly from a single piece of citrine, this pendant captures Ganesh in his most serene and iconic form: the curved trunk, the broad silhouette, the quiet authority of a deity who needs no embellishment to command attention. The vivid honey-gold of the stone does the work of an entire palette. Sterling silver frames the carving in a clean bezel-style setting, its cool lustre offering a deliberate contrast to the warmth of the citrine. At one inch in height (approximately 2.5 cm) and 0.9 inches across (approximately 2.3 cm), the pendant is neither miniature nor imposing. It sits at roughly four grams, substantial enough to feel purposeful without pulling at the chain. The carving tradition of setting figurative stones in silver has deep roots in Rajasthan, particularly in the ateliers around Jaipur where artisans have long transformed semi-precious stone into devotional objects of quiet refinement. Wear it on a fine sterling chain over a cream silk kurta for a festival gathering, or layer it against a simple white cotton shirt for a workday that carries a little intention. It is equally at home at a puja as at a lunch. Free size in every sense, the pendant suits any chain gauge. The sterling silver setting is smooth at the reverse, comfortable against the skin, and resilient enough for daily wear with minimal upkeep.
