Description

There are deities who belong not to temples but to the open road, the rain-fed field, the quiet courage of everyday life. Veer Tejaji, the beloved folk deity of Rajasthan, is venerated across village shrines from the Shekhawati plains to the desert edges of Bikaner, a guardian of farmers and a symbol of fearless sacrifice. This pendant renders him in sterling silver, worked in the idiom of folk devotional craft: the figure carries the ceremonial gravity of a votive plaque, the kind once pressed from silver sheets by hereditary silversmiths in the Marwar tradition. The surface reads as a hand-finished relief, the silver left with a warm, slightly antiqued tone that gives the deity's form depth and presence. At 1.55 inches in height and 1 inch in width (approximately 3.9 cm by 2.5 cm), and weighing 6.5 grams, the pendant sits close to the chest without weight or fuss. Wear it on a fine oxidised silver chain with a handloom cotton angrakha for a considered everyday look, or pair it with an ivory chanderi kurta and unpolished silver kada for a devotional yet refined occasion ensemble. The piece is cast in sterling silver and sized to suit most chains, requiring no adjustment. The antiqued finish resists casual tarnishing and ages gracefully with wear. A small bail sits cleanly at the crown, accepting both delicate and medium-gauge chains with equal ease.
