Description

There are moments when devotion and craft speak in the same breath. This pendant renders the eternal scene with quiet reverence: Krishna raises his flute to his lips, Radha stands close, and the family cow completes the composition in a tableau that has animated temple friezes and courtly miniatures for centuries. Cast in sterling silver and finished to a soft, burnished lustre, the piece draws from a tradition of sacred iconography that has long found its home in the silversmith workshops of Rajasthan and the temple-jewellery ateliers of the south. The figure work is tight and considered, the surface carrying just enough texture to give the forms life without overwhelming the delicacy of the motif. Weighing six grams and standing one and a quarter inches tall (approximately 3.2 cm), it carries real presence without physical weight. Worn on a fine silver chain over a silk kurta in ivory or deep indigo, this pendant becomes the sole ornament a considered dresser needs. It is equally at ease with a cream cotton saree on a festival morning, sitting close to the collarbone as a quiet declaration of faith. The pendant arrives at a free size, its bail accommodating most standard chains. Sterling silver wears honestly, developing a gentle patina over time that only deepens its character; a soft cloth restores its original brightness whenever you choose. At six grams, it sits lightly against the skin through a full day of wear.
