Description

There are melodies that need no words, only the curve of a hand and the lift of a flute. This pendant captures Krishna in his most beloved form: the Muralidhara, flute raised, weight shifted to one hip in the tribhanga stance that has defined devotional iconography from Mathura to the Deccan. Rendered in sterling silver, the figure is worked in fine relief, the details of his crown, the pleats of his pitambara and the slender bamboo flute articulated with quiet precision. At roughly 0.95 inches in height (approximately 2.4 cm), the pendant is intimate rather than imposing, designed for daily wear rather than ceremonial display alone. The silver carries a warm, brushed finish that softens the gleam without losing definition, and the weight of 5.5 grams gives it a pleasing, substantive feel against the skin. Wear it on a delicate silver chain with a hand-block cotton kurta for a morning of temple visits, or let it rest against the neckline of a silk blouse beneath a Banarasi sari for a festive gathering where understatement reads as devotion. The pendant comes in a single, free-size form, designed to pair with chains of standard bail width. The sterling silver construction is suited to everyday handling: resistant to daily humidity, easy to wipe clean with a soft cloth, and light enough to forget you are wearing it until the light catches the relief and reminds you.
