Description

There are blooms that do not wilt, and this ring carries one of them. Worked entirely in sterling silver, the ring is built around a floral halo motif: a central stone throne encircled by a corona of smaller settings, each one holding a faceted stone in a close bezel that keeps the light gathered rather than scattered. The silhouette reads with the disciplined clarity of Rajasthani silver-work, where craftsmen in Jaipur have long understood that a well-proportioned flower, rendered in oxidised or polished sterling, needs no gilding to hold its own. The top face measures roughly 1.1 inches in length by 1 inch in width (approximately 2.8 cm by 2.5 cm), and the entire ring weighs a composed 8 grams, substantial enough to be felt on the finger without heaviness. An adjustable band means the silver is not soldered shut at a fixed size, allowing the piece to be worn on different fingers across different seasons. Pair it with a cream Chanderi kurta and fine pearl earrings for a festive afternoon, or wear it against the simplicity of a white cotton saree to let the silver speak without competition. It moves as comfortably from a mehendi gathering to a quiet dinner as a trusted kohl pencil does. The adjustable shank opens and closes without distortion when handled with reasonable care. Sterling silver at this weight sits flat against the hand and resists the tilting that plagues lighter rings. A soft cloth kept nearby is all the upkeep it asks.
