Description

There are mornings when a single stone holds the whole mood of the sky before rain. This pendant speaks in the language of the silversmith's garden. A floral motif, rendered in sterling silver, unfolds across a slender vertical silhouette, three inches tall and three-quarters of an inch wide (approximately 7.6 cm by 1.9 cm), with a depth of just under a centimetre. At its heart sits an oval smoky quartz, its colour somewhere between pale woodsmoke and aged cognac, set within petals that have been worked with careful attention to dimension and edge. Sterling silver of this weight, nearly eighteen grams, carries a satisfying solidity without heaviness, and the cool grey of the metal reads beautifully against the stone's warm translucence.
