Description

There is a particular tenderness to flowers rendered in uncut stone, as though the jeweller wanted to catch a bloom mid-breath. This ring is built around that impulse. A broad floral motif, roughly one inch tall and just under an inch wide (approximately 2.5 cm by 2.2 cm), unfolds across a brass base finished to receive Polki stones in a close, foiled setting. Polki, the uncut diamond cousin beloved by Jaipur's finest ateliers, here finds its character echoed in costume brass, making the aesthetic of a royal zenana quietly accessible. The flat, irregular faces of each stone catch light without aggression, soft rather than flashy. Two colourways are offered: green-and-white, where the stones carry an almost botanical coolness, and pink-and-white, which leans warmer and more festive. The ring weighs ten grams, substantial enough to feel considered on the hand. For a daytime gathering in georgette or a chanderi kurta, the green-and-white reads as studied restraint. At a mehendi or engagement lunch, the pink-and-white paired with a tissue silk lehenga needs nothing more beside it to complete a look. The adjustable shank accommodates most finger sizes comfortably, and the open-back construction allows for a gentle press to fit. Brass holds its polish well with occasional light buffing and benefits from being kept away from water and perfume. At its price, this is an honest, unhurried piece of floral craft.
