Description

A garden caught mid-bloom, held still in uncut stone and seed pearl. The centrepiece of this ring is a densely petalled floral cluster, its layers built from Polki, the flat, uncut diamonds-in-spirit of North Indian bazaar jewellery, set here in brass worked in the manner of Jaipur's silver-and-gold ateliers. Polki setting demands a steady hand and a studied eye: each facet-free stone is placed foil-down to catch and scatter light from beneath, lending the cluster its characteristic soft, candlelit luminosity. Around this flowering heart, a border of seed pearls completes the composition, their cool cream contrasting against the warm brass ground. The piece is offered in two colour readings, green and white, each shifting the mood of the central stones and their surrounding bloom. At one inch tall and 1.15 inches wide (approximately 2.5 cm by 2.9 cm), the face carries genuine presence without tipping into excess. Wear the white variant with an ivory tissue silk sari for a winter wedding luncheon, or pair the green with a deep bottle-coloured georgette kurta set for a festive mehendi. Either reading works equally well against an embroidered dupatta falling across the wrist. The adjustable shank allows a comfortable fit across most finger sizes, and at ten grams the ring sits with quiet substance through a long evening. Brass, properly lacquered, holds its warmth well and resists everyday tarnish, making this a piece that returns to the jewellery box looking exactly as it left it.
