Description

There are stones that hold weather inside them, and labradorite is one. This faceted labradorite ring belongs to a quiet tradition of silversmith work that prizes the raw drama of the stone above ornament. Set in sterling silver, the gem is held in a clean collet or bezel that lets the stone speak: that characteristic blue-green schiller, the spectral shift that moves through the facets like light across still water. The silver itself carries no gilding, no enamel, no inlay. The work is in the restraint, in the polish of the band, in the decision to let eleven grams of cool metal cradle something genuinely lapidary. At sixteen millimetres in height, the ring has genuine presence on the hand without tipping into the theatrical. Wear it against an unbleached silk kurta for a morning that asks for understated intention. Or let it anchor the sleeve of a winter wool blazer at an evening gathering where the conversation runs to craft and inheritance. The labradorite shifts colour as the light changes, making it a piece that performs quietly all evening. The ring is cast in sterling silver and arrives in one standard size, suited to most fingers without resizing. At eleven grams, the weight feels considered and solid. The high-polish silver finish resists tarnish reasonably well with minimal care, a weekly rub with a silver cloth keeping its mirror surface honest. A piece for wearing, not saving.
