Description

There are knots that do not bind, but bless. The Endless Knot, known in Sanskrit as the Shrivatsa and counted among the eight auspicious symbols of the Ashtamangala, is one of Buddhism's most enduring geometries: a looped, interlocking form with no visible beginning and no discernible end, signifying the interweaving of wisdom, compassion and the continuity of time. Rendered here in sterling silver, the motif is worked into a substantial ring that rises to a height of twenty-one millimetres, its surface carrying the quiet lustre particular to well-finished silver. The band is solid in the hand at ten grams, neither delicate nor imposing, and the raised knot at its centre holds the eye without demanding it. No gemstone interrupts the geometry; the design trusts entirely to form and silversmithing. Worn alone, the ring reads as a considered, contemplative piece against a linen kurta or a silk sari blouse. Paired with other plain silver bands on the same hand, it anchors an understated festival look that does not compete with heavier Kundan or Polki jewellery worn at the neck or ears. Available in size eleven, this ring suits those who prefer a meaningful, wearable everyday talisman rather than a ceremonial adornment. Sterling silver benefits from an occasional gentle polish to maintain its brightness, and the ring's weight ensures it sits securely without shifting through the course of a long day.
