Description

There are devotions that take the form of a painting, and some that become an ornament you carry close to your heart. This sterling silver pendant captures Dwarkadhish, the sovereign form of Lord Krishna worshipped at Dwarka, rendered in the ancient tradition of Meenakari. The enamel work here belongs to the Rajasthani school, where craftsmen build colour in careful firings, flooding each recessed channel of silver with pigment and heat until the surface glows with the depth of stained glass. The figure is framed within a pendant measuring approximately 3.9 cm in height by 3.2 cm in width, and at 11 grams the sterling silver base lends it a satisfying, considered weight. The palette follows the devotional iconography faithfully: peacock blues, warm saffron, and the particular deep green that Jaipur's Meenakari masters have refined across generations. No stone settings interrupt the enamel; the colour itself is the jewel. Wear it on a fine silk cord over a chanderi kurta for a quiet puja morning, or thread it onto a delicate chain and let it rest against an ivory Banarasi blouse for Janmashtami celebrations. The piece is offered at a standard free size, meaning the pendant itself arrives ready to pair with a chain of your own choosing. Sterling silver requires occasional gentle polishing to maintain its lustre, but rewards that small care with years of faithful wearing.
