Description

There is a particular silence that lives inside fine needlework, and this pendant has found it in silver. Rendered in sterling silver and measuring approximately 3 cm in height by 2 cm in width, the piece takes its inspiration from the textile tradition of embroidery, translating the patient geometry of thread and stitch into raised metalwork. The surface carries the characteristic texture of embroidered linework: repeated motifs built up like satin stitch or chain work, holding their pattern with the precision of a craftsman schooled in repoussé or hand-engraving. At the centre, a cabochon rainbow moonstone sits in a simple bezel, its adularescence shifting from silver-white to the softest blue depending on the light it catches.
