This pendant carries the visage of Lord Krishna, rendered in sterling silver against the controlled depth of oxidised detailing that brings every carved line into relief. The ornate crown, a makuta of stacked and scrolling forms, rises above the face with the precision of repousse work, a technique long practised in Bengal and Odisha where silver is coaxed into narrative by hand. At 1.25 inches in height and 0.75 inches in width (approximately 3.2 cm by 1.9 cm), the pendant is intimate in scale yet dense in intention, weighing 5.85 grams, which is substantial enough to rest with presence against the chest.
