Description

There are stones that do not merely catch the light; they hold it, turning it slowly before giving it back. This sterling silver ring is built around a single cabochon of rainbow moonstone, its adularescent surface shifting between milky white and cool blue depending on how the hand moves. The setting is a raised bezel, clean and uninterrupted, that cradles the stone without overpowering it. The band tapers gently towards the shank, giving the silhouette a quiet elegance that owes more to restraint than ornament. At five and a half grams, the ring has real presence on the finger without feeling heavy. The silverwork carries a polished finish that lets the moonstone remain the sole source of drama. The proportions are considered: approximately one and a half centimetres in height by just over one centimetre in width, making the face of the ring substantial but never theatrical.
