Description

There are silhouettes that do not shout; they simply hold the room. This pendant speaks in the quiet register of considered silversmithing. Cast in sterling silver and set with a deep black onyx cabochon, it draws on a long tradition of bold, architectural jewellery that has flourished across Rajasthani and Deccan ateliers for generations. The onyx, polished to a glassy, light-absorbing depth, is held within a raised bezel that frames the stone with deliberate restraint, letting the silver's weight and lustre do the work around it. At 2.75 inches tall and 1.75 inches wide (approximately 7 cm by 4.4 cm), the piece has genuine presence without tipping into excess. Its 33 grammes register satisfyingly against the collarbone, the kind of weight that reminds you something real is resting there.
