Description

A cross rendered in sterling silver, held steady by centuries of quiet devotion and the jeweller's patient hand. The cross is among the oldest forms in sacred ornament, worn from Goa's baroque churches to the quiet hill parishes of Kerala and the colonial-era lanes of Calcutta. This pendant honours that tradition in sterling silver, its surface worked to a clean, restrained finish that lets the geometry speak. At its centre sits a single cabochon stone, available in warm citrine or the clouded luminescence of moonstone, each set simply so the silver frame and the gem exist in easy conversation. Measuring 2.5 inches in height by 1.3 inches in width (approximately 6.4 cm by 3.3 cm) and weighing 13.8 grams, the piece carries a satisfying presence without bulk. The silver is solid, the construction assured. Wear it on a long sterling chain over a white cotton kurta for Sunday morning ease, or layer it at the neckline of a silk blouse beneath a tailored blazer for a more considered, contemporary statement. The moonstone reads softly against ivory and pale grey; citrine warms rust, olive and terracotta beautifully. The pendant arrives as a free-size piece with a bail suited to most standard chains. Sterling silver rewards occasional polishing and keeps its tone with minimal care. This is a pendant built for daily devotion, worn close to the skin and passed, in time, to someone who will understand exactly why it matters.
