Description

There are prayers that need no temple, only intention and the right symbol resting close to the heart. This pendant centres on the Om, Hinduism's primordial syllable, rendered in solid brass with a presence that is devotional without being ornate. Brass has been the metal of shrines and ritual objects across the Indian subcontinent for centuries, valued for its warm, golden ochre tone and its association with auspiciousness. The silhouette follows the classical Om form, its curves flowing into the lower tail and the crescent-and-bindu above, all cast with clean edges and a polished finish that catches light evenly. At 1.25 inches in height and 0.86 inches in width (approximately 3.2 cm by 2.2 cm), the piece is compact and quietly commanding. Weighing 5.2 grams, it carries a satisfying solidity without burdening the neck. No stones, no filigree, no distraction from the form itself. Wear it on a simple black cord for daily puja or meditation practice, where its restraint becomes its strength. Paired with a handloom cotton kurta in ivory or saffron, it sits as naturally as a tilaka on the forehead. The free-size cord or chain allows for flexible layering at the neckline. The polished brass finish is smooth against the skin and holds its warm tone well with occasional gentle cleaning. A considered, grounded piece for anyone who carries their faith with them, lightly and without announcement.
