Description

There is a quietness to this ring, the kind that belongs to old courtyards and afternoon light. Set in sterling silver, it carries an inlay of blue, white and turquoise stones arranged across a low, flat face that rises just four millimetres from the finger. The technique recalls the lapidary traditions of Rajasthan, where artisans have long pressed coloured stone into silver settings to create compositions that feel almost mosaic-like in their precision. The cool triad of blues and white against oxidised or polished sterling is a pairing the craft has relied upon for generations, each stone fitted flush so the surface reads as continuous colour rather than isolated gems. At three and a half grams, the ring sits with genuine lightness, the kind the hand forgets it is wearing. Pair it with a white mulmul kurta and raw-silk palazzo for a morning of quiet ceremony. It works equally well against the cuff of a cotton shirt at a gallery opening or an intimate gathering where simplicity is the considered choice. Available in size 8 and weighing three and a half grams, the ring is shaped for all-day wear. Sterling silver requires only an occasional gentle buff to restore its surface, and the inlaid stones, being set low and flush, are well protected against the ordinary pressures of daily life. A piece that earns its place slowly, then permanently.
