Description

A bird caught mid-thought, set in silver that carries the quiet weight of old craft. The motif here is a bird rendered with patient attention in sterling silver, its form shaped with the kind of unhurried hand that belongs to a tradition of artisan silverwork long practised across Rajasthan and the hills of Himachal. The centrepiece is a rainbow moonstone, a stone that holds within it a shifting adularescence, pale blues and silvers moving beneath the surface like light on still water. Set in an open bezel or prong cradle, the stone sits proud of the band so that its colour-play catches the eye at every angle. The ring stands nine millimetres at its tallest point and weighs a measured 3.5 grams, giving it quiet presence without bulk. Sterling silver, worked to a smooth finish, lends it an understated luminosity that deepens with wear. Pair it with a fine cotton kurta in ivory or indigo for an afternoon that calls for thoughtful dressing. It sits equally well against a silk blouse at an evening gathering, where the moonstone's inner light reads as something close to jewelled. Available in sizes 6.5, 8 and 9, the ring suits a range of fingers without alteration. Sterling silver is durable enough for regular wear; a soft cloth and occasional airing keep it bright. Store away from moisture to preserve the silver's natural sheen across years of use.
