Description

There are prayers that do not need words, only form. Cast and finished in sterling silver, this pendant carries the sacred pairing of Bhagwan Ram and Mata Sita rendered with the devotional exactness that defines South Indian temple jewellery traditions. The composition reads as a paired portrait icon: two figures seated in divine repose, their silhouettes traced with the crisp, high-relief detailing characteristic of artisans who treat iconography as a living grammar rather than decoration. Sterling silver lends the piece a cool, luminous surface, its oxidised recesses deepening the contours of each figure and drawing the eye inward. At just over one inch in height, approximately 2.9 centimetres, by one inch in width, approximately 2.5 centimetres, and weighing 10.1 grams, the pendant carries genuine heft without heaviness, the silver settling comfortably against the collarbone. Worn on a fine silver chain over an ivory or cream silk blouse, it becomes a quiet centrepiece for morning puja and the rest of a considered day. Equally, it suits the neckline of a soft cotton handloom kurta at a family gathering or a Diwali celebration where devotion and elegance share equal space. Free size in its fitting, the pendant works across chain gauges with a standard bale. The sterling silver requires only occasional gentle polishing to hold its clarity. It is a piece intended not for seasons, but for daily wearing and quiet inheritance over years.
