Description

There are shores where the sea leaves its signature in silver. This ring takes its form from the shell: not a literal rendering, but the memory of one. The band rises to a shallow, rounded dome, its surface worked by hand in a beaten technique that catches light the way a shell does when turned slowly in the sun. Sterling silver, left to its own cool lustre rather than gilded or gemmed, is the sole material here, and it is enough. The beaten finish belongs to a long tradition of repoussé-adjacent silverwork practised across India's coastal and tribal silver-smithing belts, where the hammer's rhythm is the ornament itself. At nine millimetres in height and nine grams in weight, the form is substantial without crowding the finger. Wear it with a fine handloom cotton kurta for a morning meeting where understatement reads as confidence. In the evening, let it anchor an otherwise unadorned hand against raw silk or a fine chanderi sari, where its quiet texture creates its own conversation. The ring is offered in size 8.1, a generous fit that suits most ring fingers or can be worn comfortably on the middle finger for those who prefer a looser feel. Sterling silver at this weight and gauge holds its shape well with daily wear; a soft cloth buff now and then will preserve the beaten surface's depth. No stone, no prong, no hidden catch: only silver, worked by hand, shaped like something the tide might have left behind.
