Description

There is something quietly festive about a ring that blooms on the finger like a garden held in brass. The floral centre of this Kundan-set ring is built in the tradition that Jaipur's craftsmen have refined over centuries: a bed of lac pressed into a brass frame, into which flat-cut Kundan stones are set flush, their edges sealed by the gentle tap of a foil-backed finish that catches light without competing for it. The motif is a layered flower, its petals outlined in beaded wire detail, the whole face measuring one point five five inches across (roughly three point nine centimetres) and the same in height. Available in dark green, green, orange, multi gold and multi silver, each colourway reads as a distinct mood: the greens recalling enamel-work from Bikaner workshops, the warm metallics closer to temple jewellery's golden register. At twenty grams, the brass base gives the piece honest weight. Wear the dark green against a raw silk kurta in ivory for a literary gathering; pair the multi gold with a Banarasi border sari at a festive afternoon puja or mehendi. Both pairings ask nothing more of the ring than to be noticed. The adjustable shank means the ring fits most fingers without resizing, sitting comfortably on the index or middle finger. Brass acquires a gentle patina over time; a soft cloth restores its warmth. This is an everyday piece that carries ceremony within it.
