Description

She who stills the tongue of chaos is rendered here in silver, quiet and absolute. Baglamukhi, the eighth Mahavidya, holds dominion over speech, illusion and the enemies of the self. This pendant translates her yantra into sterling silver with the exactness the form demands: a geometric matrix of triangles, lotus petals and a bindu at its centre, each element carrying the specific cosmological weight assigned to it by tradition. The yantra is not decorative in origin; it is structural, a diagram of divine force made wearable. Worked in sterling silver and weighing just three grams, the pendant measures approximately three centimetres in height by just over two centimetres in width, its surface etched or engraved to hold the yantra's lines in clean relief. The silverwork belongs to a long tradition of devotional amulet-making that spans Rajasthan and Bengal alike, where the karigar's hand follows not aesthetic impulse but sacred prescription. Wear it close to the skin on a slender silver chain against a pale cotton kurta for daily, intentional wear. For a more composed occasion, layer it against a cream or ivory silk blouse as a piece of quiet personal significance. The pendant is free-sized and suspends from any fine chain. At three grams, it sits without weight against the collarbone. Sterling silver requires only an occasional gentle polish to maintain its lustre. The piece arrives ready to wear.
