Description

There are faces that hold the weight of devotion in every line. This pendant carries the countenance of Ram Lalla as consecrated at Ayodhya, rendered in sterling silver with a fidelity that feels less like manufacture and more like offering. The silhouette is intimate: at its standard size, 1.25 inches tall and 0.75 inches wide (approximately 3.2 cm by 1.9 cm), the face emerges with gentle relief, the brow serene, the features composed in the manner of traditional South Indian and North Indian devotional iconography alike. Two finishes are available. The polish finish catches light with a clean, mirror-bright clarity; the vintage finish, with its selectively oxidised recesses, draws the eye into the contours of the face and lends the piece a quality of antiquity, as though it has been worn through generations of morning prayers. The pendant weighs 8.76 grams, substantial enough on the fingertip to remind you it is there. Worn on a fine silver chain over a cream silk kurta, it becomes an act of quiet faith made visible.
