Description

She watches over you the way only an ancient goddess can: with absolute, unhurried certainty. Isis, the Egyptian deity of magic and sky, is rendered here in sterling silver with an antique finish that gives the metal a warm, oxidised depth, as though the piece has spent centuries in a temple treasury before arriving in your hands. The goddess appears in her iconic silhouette, wings outstretched in that timeless gesture of protection, the surface worked with the kind of careful detailing that echoes the silver repoussé and chasing traditions practised by craftsmen who understand that mythology must be worn, not merely described. At one point six inches tall and one point five inches wide (approximately four centimetres by three point eight centimetres), and weighing just under ten grams at nine point nine four grams, the pendant occupies the chest with quiet authority. The sterling silver itself holds the antique patina beautifully, every depression in the surface catching shadow. Wear it against a deep ivory or charcoal linen kurta for an evening where conversation turns to art and ideas. It is equally arresting suspended over a simple black silk slip dress, letting the mythology speak without competition. The pendant comes in free size and the antique finish, being a surface treatment rather than a plating, resists the quick fading that gilded pieces suffer. Store it away from moisture and it will deepen, gracefully, with time.
