Description

A single bloom, caught mid-unfurl, set in silver and stone. The floral motif has long been a signature of India's silversmithing traditions, from the filigree workshops of Cuttack to the repoussé ateliers of Rajasthan, where craftsmen study the geometry of petals the way a calligrapher studies script. Here, that vocabulary is rendered in sterling silver, a metal prized for its cool luminosity and its willingness to hold fine detail without softening the line. At the centre, a deep garnet, burgundy and light-drinking, anchors the composition; crystal stones radiate outward like outer petals catching early morning light. The ring stands 0.7 inches (approximately 1.8 cm) in height, a presence that is assertive without being theatrical. At 3.8 grams, the weight sits gently on the finger, the silver carrying just enough substance to feel considered. Wear it against a raw-silk kurta in ivory for a Diwali gathering where understatement is its own statement. It pairs equally well with a deep-toned linen dress for an afternoon wedding lunch, the garnet echoing the warmth of a good textile. The adjustable shank, designed to fit size 8 and flex to neighbouring sizes, makes this a ring that travels easily between occasions and hands. The sterling silver finish requires only a soft cloth to restore its quiet gleam, making it as practical as it is poetic.
